Abstract
Nuclear batteries have been used to power various types of space probes by NASA for over 4 decades. Solar power is not always optimal for space probes as when they reach beyond mars because there is not enough light to power the systems. There are many varieties of nuclear battery, each with their own advantages and disadvantages. This paper shall discuss these aspects in order to compare their capabilities.
