Abstract
With the collegiate Nanosat 4 microsatellite design/build competition behind them, the Missouri Satellite (M-Sat) team needed to refocus its direction and motivation for the project. Upon a system-level overview it was decided by the leadership that the next step in the development process would be the assembly of a Flat Sat (FS). The primary aspects to be tested by the FS this testing cycle (goal deadline of 1 April) are the power and data flows. Work is going well towards finishing the FS, but due to IT complications, lack of personnel, and lack of experience it will take longer than initially hoped. The FS will unfortunately only include about a third of the spacecraft’s systems due to various delays. However, with the recruitment of more EE and CompE personnel the entire system is scheduled to be ready to test by the end of Fall '08.
