Information on the Final Examination, Math 325
There are 8 questions, each is worth 3 points (plus 1 point for presentation).

Syllabus for the table on how to convert
points into a final grade (there will not be any exemption from the rule
given in this table).
-  For a given function, find u_{xt}(...) [easy, like Problem #1].
 
-  Find the general solution of a PDE of first order using the geometric
     method (i.e, the method of characteristics).
 
-  Solve an IVP by "factoring" the operator.
 
-  Prove a statement concerning solutions of the diffusion equation.
 
-  Separate the variables for a given problem and solve the resulting
     eigenvalue problem.
 
-  Find the Fourier series of a given function f and determine whether
     it converges pointwise to f.
 
-  Perform separation of variables to solve a discrete problem.
 
-  Use one of the schemes from Chapter 8 to solve a certain problem.
