The mission of the American Foundry Society today is to provide and promote knowledge and services that strengthen the metalcasting industry for the ultimate benefit of its customers and society. The Missouri S&T AFS Chapter encourages this mission by hosting several educational events throughout the year, the largest being the popular Open Foundry; held at least once a semester, plant tours, professional conferences, field trips, and guest speakers. These events are designed to help students advance their careers, increase exposure to the metalcasting industry, and to provide students with scholarship opportunities.

The Missouri S&T AFS Chapter strives to give its members all the benefits they need to be successful in the metalcasting industry. We are constantly looking for more and new ideas for events, and we will be sure to update the calendar frequently with events, scholarships, and professional opportunities, so be sure to check out our Events page. Hope to see you at the foundry! Check out what happened at this semester's open foundry!
