These conferences are an excellent way to meet professionals in the industry, compete for awards, and apply for internships and lifetime careers. Thanks to S&T's wonderful MSE department, traveling to a conference comes at little to no expense for most students. Update 8/16/2012: Signups for the MS&T Conference will start in the first month of school- more details to follow. The conference homepage can be found here: http://www.matscitech.org/. Once you are registered to attend the event, make sure you sign up to attend the student reception event on October 8th here: http://steelreception.questionpro.com/a/TakeSurvey. The student reception is a fantastic way to meet and talk to companies face to face, so be sure to bring your resume!
