As a campus approved housing option, even incoming freshman are able to live at the Sig Tau house. We provide a more affordable option than the dorms on campus.
Sig Tau is an affordable option to live in than both the dorms and other fraternities on campus.
Your living expenses covers all of your meals for the week. Our cook makes hot lunches and dinners custom to the menu the creates.
Any scholarships or loans you may have received still work the same if you decide to live at Sig Tau instead of the dorms.
This is our home, it's not just some place that we live at. It is a comfortable feeling living in a community space with your friends.
In addition to our front patio, we use this large space to shoot hoops, host social events, or just hang out.
We like to have bonfires reguarly and even play a few games of horsehoes in our backyard.
You can catch us grilling some food whenever the weather is nice out.
You can use the shed to store a bike, motorcycle, or any other equipment you may have.
There are 25 customizable bedrooms in the dormitory wing of the house.
Unlike the dorms and other fraternity houses, you can change the wall color, construct your own loft, or anything else you want to do to your room. Every room comes standard with a mattress, a desk to study, a chair, and a dresser for clothing. You can furnish the rest of your room however you wish. It is not uncommon to see rooms with unique lofts, custom built storage, or even a hammock hanging up.
In addition to house-wide Wi-Fi, each room comes with an Ethernet port so that you can have faster internet access within your room.
The dining room is a multi-purpose room in the house that is spacious enough to gather a large amount of people. The room also has our pool table and foosball table, which are always fun to play.
A buffet-style dinner is prepared each night during the week. Eating together is a great time to catch up after the day while eating some good food.
The dining room is also used for socials, parties, and as a gathering place when alumni come for Homecoming and St. Pat's celebrations. We also hold a Parent & Alumni Day in the spring where all of our families gather for a meal and lawn games outside.
Different members in elected house positions give reports, the house discusses various topics of concern, and we vote on anything that needs a decision to be made.
Any member can obtain a leadership role within the fraternity and help our brotherhood grow. Almost every member takes a position when they are an active.
The chapter room can also be used as a study room in addition to our study room on the first level, which has two computers and a printer.
Access to a 24/7 open kitchen like ours is something unique to our house that other houses may not offer.
All of the appliances including the microwave, stove, oven, refrigerators, and fryer are available for anyone to use at any time. We also have two washers and dryers for your clothes that are free to use right around the corner outside of the kitchen.
Getting great grades, graduating from Missouri S&T, and landing a good job are our main goals as students.
